Wedding Card

I like this SU! set To Have and To Hold - tried not coloring it in this time (lack of time !) and instead just stamped in Versamark and embossed in silver embossing powder. I think I need to find better detail embossing powder. But anyways, I used PTI aqua mist, silver and white combo. I use this soft blue, silver and white combo a lot for wedding cards for some reason. I always play it safe with color combos -- I need to work on that!!

Stamps: SU! To Have and to Hold, Hero Arts Thank You Flourishes
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist
Paper: PTI Aqua Mist, Bazzill Bling silver, Cryogen White
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities die, PTI Ribbon, K&Co pearl

Cool Bicycle

Madsen Cycles Cargo Bikes

I would love to win this cool bike - MADSEN Cargo Bike !

I happened to have just read an article this morning in the NY Times about a town in Germany that has outlawed cars. Read here. I hope these types of communities are being planned here in the US. I don't think it could work for everybody, but I think a lot of people, especially families would be drawn to this type of living.

Happy Mother's Day

I apologize for the blurry picture, it was a cloudy day here when I took the picture.

I got some American Crafts color rub ons that I wanted to try out. That is the focal image used with nestabilities. I LOVE that new die - it's such a great shape.

Happy Mother's Day to all those celebrating today! Enjoy your day!

Stamps: SU!, CHF Dotted Diamonds Backgrounder

WSC75

I used Mary Jo Albright's sketch challenge for this card - WSC75. Check out her fabulous blog and see the sketch at Beauty Lies Within. This card is for a friend who recently took up snowboarding. She's having so much fun with it and unfortunately (or fortunately) the weather is getting warmer. Looks like no more trips up to the mountains for us. I look forward to next winter for some more "snow fun" !

Stamps: Stamping Bella, $1 sentiment
Paper: SU! Ski Slope, Chocolate Chip
Other: Nestabilities, Circle Punches, Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch, Ribbon, Copic Markers, Paper Piecing

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 7

This is my submission for the The Sugar Bowl Spring/Easter challenge this week. I love making Spring cards! Now I have to start working on Easter cards!

I am mailing this card to a sweet girl who is suffering from cancer and is undergoing chemo treatments. If you find you have some extra cards in your stash and have time to send cards on a weekly basis - you could really bring smiles and cheers to someone's life. Find out more information by going to Chemo Angels.
