Back after a Long Break!
Wow I took quite a break from crafting! Well, in the last few weeks I've made a few cards here and there, but have forgotten to take a picture to post. To be honest, I'm made them in a dash right before they needed to be put in the envelope. I hope to get back into crafting now that winter is coming. :)
I've had to made a few cards for friends' weddings. Here is one. The main image is white embossed using an American Crafts wood stamp called Bride and Groom - I've used this one a lot lately for wedding cards. The sentiment is from Hero Arts clear set called Everyday Sayings - just got this one and it has so many sentiments. They have several sets with words using this font and I just love it! The pattern paper is from K&Co - one of the small mat stacks. I have so many of them I wanted to start using them!

Play Ball!
Audrey is ready to play some baseball ! :) I had to make this card for our friends who have a little girl who just started playing T-Ball! Hopefully she will love it. I colored Audrey (The Greeting Farm digital stamp) in her team colors - which are Red Sox colors! I hand wrote the B on her shirt which didn't come out so good lol!
Base is PTI Enchanted Evening, pink layer is Prism (not sure what color), and pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket Delovely collection. The sentiment is created from Cosmo Cricket tiny letters - my fav! I used some red/white twine to try to tie the colors together. The brads are AC white, which I colored with Copic markers.
This was my first time trying out digital images. I must say it turned out well. There was some bleeding - you have to be careful and not color over the lines. And also, I wasn't sure about sizing of the image - she came out larger than I intended!
The sketch is another fun one from Club Anya blog from this Saturday. They have various challenges throughout the week -- sooo helpful when you need a little boost of creativity :).

Alice in Wonderland
After seeing beautiful cards with Sweet Pea Stamps on Tammi's blog Tropical Dreams, I had to check them out. Then Michelle of Bella Kitty Creations sent me some stamped images and I was convinced. I placed an order!!
My card uses the stamp Alice Queen of Tarts by Elaine Cox. You can find it at the Sweet Pea Stamps store. I used October Afternoon Fly a Kite line. The base is Prism cardstock that is matched (from Die Cuts R Us). Teal cardstock from SU! matches pretty well. Ribbon is from A Muse. This was a lot of Copic coloring!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Little Sweetie
Here is a mini-card using a sketch from Hero Arts Blog. Shari (who is so talented) posted these sketches that you can find here. I can't keep up with Hero Arts. They have new Summer stamps that I'm seeing that are so beautiful. I still have so many uninked ones from their line. Maybe this weekend I'll devote some time to Hero Arts!
Again, this little girl is from a sparkle clear set called You're The Best. I used Cosmo Cricket Delovely pattern papers. PTI Raspberry Fizz base that I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. The swirls are from Sizzix Die called Floral Bouquet (I think). It's from the Hello Kitty line.
Hope you have a nice weekend!!

Hi Cutie
I finally got to play with this little Hero Arts image (from Sparkle clear set called You're the Best) and some new Cosmo Cricket Delovely papers. What bright and fun colors for summer! I used the sketch from ABC Design Blog Sketch Challenge.
I used the coordinating Delovely stickers (falling in love with these things!), American Crafts thickers for the "hi", Sizzix dies for the flourishes and some gems. The base papers and ribbon are PTI Raspberry Fizz which matches well.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet Bunny
This bunny is just the sweetest thing I've ever seen ! :) It's The Greeting Farm Maggie Bunny. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers #104. What a fun one to use!
I used (again) Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety pattern papers layered on Bazzill Bling and SU! Vanilla base. I bought some Jenni Bowlin tickets which are so cute! The sentiment is from Hero Arts Sparkle Clear set. A quick card that I sent off to a fellow crafter ;) !
Thanks for stopping by!

Ring Ring Hello
Here are 2 cards I will add to the notecard set (see my previous post) and gift to my fiance's Mom. I think she'll like the cards! These use the phone image and "hello" sentiment from Lawn Fawn set called Just My Type.
This card uses American Crafts ribbon and Hero Arts Woodgrain stamp. I wanted to use the fun ribbon so the colors are all based on that.
This card uses October Afternoon Thrift Shop papers. I got some fun vintage ribbon from Limelight Papercrafts so I tried a shabby technique. I used Tattered Rose Distress Ink on the edges of the papers. The doily edge is from a Martha Stewart border punch.
Thanks for visiting today!

Click Clack
There is a new stamp company called Lawn Fawn - they have the cutest stamps! I bought 2 sets: Just My Type and Just My Type, Too from Limelight Papercrafts (they are having a Memorial Day sale btw!).
I've been seeing cute shaped mini-cards, so I thought I'd try it out with these sets.
For this card I did some masking and repeated the "click clack" in Colorbox Charcoal ink. I clear embossed the typewriter and colored in the keys with a Uni-Ball white opaque pen. Thank You was stamped with PTI Raspberry Fizz ink (you can see I first tried to stamp with chalk ink but since the Bazzill paper is textured it didn't take it well). I added some Raspberry Fizz polka dotted ribbon to finish it off.
For this card I used some new October Afternoon Thrift Shop paper (bought from Die Cuts R Us - great service from this online store as well!!) I embossed the typewriter with white embossing powder on black paper and blue Bazzill paper. I added some ric-rac ribbon attached with the Tim Holtz mini-stapler. Love that thing!
Hope you are having a great long weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello My Friend
Hopefully you can stand another Stella card! I made a quick card - love paper piecing her dress! I misted some mini Maya Road chipboard letters spelling out HELLO, but then messed the whole thing up, so I had to redo the "Hello" using stamps. I can't wait to use those letters again - they are so cute and small - I'll show you soon.
Have a great long weekend ! Happy Memorial Day!
Stamps: The Greeting Farm Stella; Studio Calico Storytime Alphabet
Paper: SU! Vanilla; Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety
Other: Corner chomper; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alpha letters; Jillibean Soup ribbon; SU! mini paper clip; EK Success Fancy Flight border punch

Wedding Wishes
Here is a wedding card (sorry for awful photo - took it in the evening!) using a wood stamp from American Crafts called Bride and Groom. I thought it was such a pretty image. I found a great blog via Lawn Fawn Stamps called Off The Wall Craftiness. She had a fun challenge #8 inspired by showers, weddings, babies, rain, and umbrellas with this beautiful image below. I used some PTI Aqua Mist paper and SU! Barely Banana. You can win a Lawn Fawn set if you play along!
Products used on my wedding card: Sizzix embossing folder, EK Success border punch, pearls, corner chomper, satin ribbon. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

La La La
This is Chelsea! She is adorable in her own little world listening to music. I love her long flowing hair :). I don't think I've used her before. A few new products used here: Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety pattern paper, EK Success Fancy Flight Border punch, and Spotlight Kit butterfly image on upper left.
The sketch is Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch 19. This was a really fun one to use!

Kokuyo Adhesive Comparison
I was very disappointed (like everyone else) when Kokuyo Dot 'n' Roller was discontinued! From various blogs, I found out that the adhesive is available from other sources. :)
I just received an order from Jetpens with refills called Kokuyo Dot Liner Acid Free Original Tape Refill - 8.4 mm X 16 m - Permanent (KOKUYO TA-D400N-08). I'm happy to say that these fit in the original cartridge and work exactly the same. It just looks a little different and you get 9 feet more (width is about the same). I did the ft/m and mm/inch conversion lol! The price from Jetpens is $4.67.
Here is a picture comparing the Dot 'n' Roller and Dot Liner (from Jetpens) adhesive:
Just to let you know Jetpens has free shipping over $25 and they have the Uni-ball Signo Broad white pens. My 1st order was a couple of months ago when Kristina Werner talked about how good this pen was. They have some adorable pencil cases too :). I placed the adhesive order on 5/20/10 and I received my package today! I am not affiliated with this company at all. Just very happy with their service and the products! Hope this info helps!!
Hugs to You
I was going through my button collection and realized I had some Basic Grey Ambrosia buttons and papers that I had never used (I don't think!). The bright orange matches her hair! I was getting bored using browns. I'll admit this is waaaaay bright!
Such pretty and elegant patterns in this collection. This Stella image I think is adorable to send cards to friends. I have collected some gorgeous Maya Roads and Jenni Bowlin pins (used here) and finally used them. I'm afraid people will stick themselves lol ! Anyways, hopefully this card won't hurt anyone.
I got a new EK Success border punch called Fancy Flight - so pretty! Ribbon is A Muse stitched ribbon and sentiment is from Hero Arts. The sketch is a great one from this week's Sketch For You To Try. Jen has really fun ones to try every Saturday.

My Friend Stella
I love Stella's bob - wish I could have that haircut and look so adorable!! I had a bunch of her colored in and paper pieced her outfit (and rest of pattern paper) with Basic Grey Kioshi pattern paper. Love the soft colors. The base paper is SU! but the Papertrey Ink ribbon (Lavendar Moon) is a good match. The sentiment is from the Spotlight Kit which I gave in and bought :) . So many cute stamps in that set!
Sketch is Farm Fresh Friday's Mary's Sketch here. You have until Wednesday to play!
Hope you had a great weekend! I had time to make a few cards which I'm very happy about!

Happy Birthday Baby!
I inked up The Cat's Pajamas set called A Beary Good Year. PJ is wishing Asher a Happy 1st Birthday (which I have to leave for in a little bit :) ) I used Basic Grey 6x6 Kioshi paper pad, Making Memories letter stickers, and American Crafts alphas (for the 1 on the cake and exclamation).
The sketch is from TCP Tuesday. You still have time to play !!
Have a great weekend!!

Welcome Baby Boy!
It's been almost a month since my last post! Yikes! It has been awhile since I've crafted - mostly due to the fact that my craft area was a huge mess. Fortunately I did some clean up this past weekend and I will look forward to stamping more now!
Well here is a card I made last night - trying for that simple and clean look. Not quite happy with it though! All stamps are from Inkadinkado clear set called "Baby Boy." Added a button and some Hero Arts gems. The base paper is A Muse cardstock. Inka stamps are not my favorites at all (quality not as good because I don't believe they are photopolymer) but Colorbox chalk inks and Versamagic inks work best on these stamps.

Pretty Pressing Blog Candy
No cards from me this weekend :( ! I did start coloring a bunch of TGF stamps for the Card Drive. My fiance said they look like an army of little girlies :) . I should take a picture of them and upload. I'm practicing hair colorings and different color combos. I think I realized I need more Copics markers!!!
Anyways, also, my Mom is stuck in Europe and spent the weekend on the phone with airlines and family trying to get her home. Very stressful!!
Well, Claudia has a beautiful project on her blog and you can win! She makes the most incredible projects.
You can see here and link up to win some stamps and her amazing box!
Have a great day!

Organizing Dies/Embossing Folders
I'm sorry for the lack of posts. I haven't been able to create anything new. I had a busy weekend with family events and then fell a little ill. However, I did do some organizing! I saw this idea on this blog and copied it. I bought these Cropper Hopper Zip-N-Flip Large Organizer Sheets from Walmart (it looks like they are out of stock now, but they are also available from Overstock.com). In each package, there are 2 sheets - so that is what you see above. I bought 2 of them. So in the other 2 binder sheets I am putting in my Cuttlebug embossing folders and Quickutz dies. I don't have too many of those right now, so this solution should work for now. I will put these in a 3 ring binder.
This is the magnet sheets that hold the dies. I bought it from Lowe's - maybe $5? I can't remember. There are 3 sheets per package - I cut each sheet up into 6 pieces. Regular scissors will cut them easily. The nesties on the left above I left in on the packaging because I had already glued some magnet strips on there.
I need to do more organizing! My craft area is a big mess I'm afraid to go near it :) !! Let me know if you have any questions!!

Bang.. Gotcha!!
This is my actually my first attempt at an easel card. Like this Shooter girl?? She has a toy gun that shoots out a message on a flap. Thought that was clever of me - haha!
I made this for Battle Week 2 over at The Greeting Farm. We (The Crafty Chicks) decided to submit Beth's card (you can see it here!!), because it was just so creative and amazing! However we found out today that we didn't make it to Round 3. I think Beth's card was one of the top cards, but oh well... The best thing about the royal battle was getting to know Beth and Michelle. They are super talented and we share the love for stamping/crafting and TGF :)
The pattern paper is Basic Grey Lemonade. I used some American Crafts felt alphas. For the other sentiments I used Hero Arts Small Variety alpha stamp set (this is the one I've used and raved about a lot!). I got a new Martha Stewart punch - it's the Deco Shell one. I'll have to try the corner punch with it as well.

Sweet Stella
This is an easel card - been seeing so many amazing cards using this style. It's really cool actually. It folds down to a 5 x 5 card to mail, but then you can open it up and have it sit like this. I can't wait to give this to my friend - she's going to think it's super cool :).
I used TGF Stella - isn't she cute with her bob ?? And some Basic Grey June Bug papers. The frame that is behind Stella is the coordinating chipboard. The sentiment is Making Memories rub-ons. I used the sketch from Farm Fresh Friday challenge this week.
Happy Easter if you are celebrating! Enjoy this beautiful day!

Totally Awesome!
There is a battle going on hosted by The Greeting Farm. Each team was to submit one "retro" card using colors from an inspiration photo. Mine was not chosen to submit for this week (thankfully because there are some amazing submissions! lol). My team The Crafty Chicks submitted Michelle's card which is soooo groovy and cute. Beth made a super creative card too - that one would have had a great chance of winning too! Anyone can vote - please vote for Michelle's card here so we can make it to the next round!! I think you just have to register.
The letters I used an alpha set from Hero Arts (which I love because it has different fonts and are small which is perfect for cardmaking) and embossed in white. Rhinestones were big in the 80s too, right?? I love this Anya - she's cute. I can't wait to send it out to my friend who has a little daughter and they hang up all my cards. So sweet!!!

Smiling Flowers
Can flowers smile :) ? I just love this Hero Arts set called Big And Small Flowers - played with these flowers again colored with Copics. All stamps, pearls, blue paper are from Hero Arts. I'm ready for spring, but will be squeezing in one last ski trip! Have a great weekend!

Happy Spring!
Happy Spring!! What a beautiful day in Boston! I think the cherry blossoms will be blooming soon. Here is a card to celebrate :) I used all Hero Arts products. I want everything they make - they are such a great stamp company. I am such a big fan and they have such a great blog with contests, flickr group. They are a family business and seem to really care about their customers and employees. I have such respect for them!
I have a flickr page with all the info about the card. You can find it here.
Have a wonderful day!

Paddy Bear
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope you had a fun one. I didn't get a chance to post this at the beginning of the day. But here is PJ from The Cat's Pajamas. I used a SFYTT sketch from i{heart}2stamp blog. The pattern paper is My Mind's Eye and the ribbon is A Muse stitched ribbon. I sent this card to friends who were celebrating all day! Too bad I had to work :).

Big Sunny Flowers
I just got this new clear set from Hero Arts (CL374 Big And Small Flowers). Stamping Around has a color challenge that I used to make this card. Find it here. I happen to have the PTI colors so it was perfect! I took this picture in the evening so I apologize for the terrible photos.
I tried something new with this card - I had bought some Martha Stewart 5x7 notecard/envelopes on sale so I mounted the kraft "card" onto this flat panel. I also decorated the inside, which is rare for me. :) I stamped the flowers on Berry Sorbet and also shaded it with some Copic markers. I used some liquid pearls and white pen to highlight the flowers.
Have a great day!

Hugs from Hugh
Here's another card with Hugh and some Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I worked soooo long on Hugh's hair with the Copic markers :). I really want to get the beautiful shading I see on everyone's cards. I'm still trying to figure it out so bear with me ! I got more TGF stamps so I'm very excited!!

Bright Lace
This card features the beautiful Circle Lace stamp from Hero Arts. I embossed it with clear embossing powder on black cardstock. It looked so pretty, but was really hard to see (maybe I'll try a different color cardstock next time). So I sponged some Versamagic silver metallic ink to really make the image stand out.
I really do love this lace and doily trend - so many beautiful stamp sets out right now. It's hard not to want more and more of them!! I don't make many vintage-y cards, so I tried to used bright colors to make it more modern.
I am entering this card to the Moxie Fab World Challenge - look at the inspiration on this post!! You still have time to enter your card! Have a great day!

Anime Birthday Birds
I got to play with these Quickutz die - Anime Birds I think they are called! Really cute! I made this for a special friend whose birthday is today!! The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket Early Bird. The sketch is from Card Patterns Anniversary Sketch 53. Go and play along - they have a fun blog hop too! I decided to play along with Color Throwdown #83. I have a lot of SU! papers and they always have great color combos to try. You still have plenty of time to play! The sentiment is from Hero Arts clear set and the eyes are their gems as well. Thanks for stopping by today!

Krafty Suzette
Here is Suzette Ketto from Stamping Bella. I hadn't inked her up yet and thought she'd be perfect for Joanne's Blogaversary Week Two Challenge - Sew Krafty. I drool over all the cards she makes - esp with the sewing. Maybe one day when I have a house I can buy a sewing machine :). For now, I did some faux stitching and used some Hambly rubons (on the sentiment). Actually, the pattern papers are from Studio Calico kit from last month. Thought the colors would be pretty with the kraft card stock (SU!). I paper pieced her dress and used some Prima pearls. The sketch is from i{heart}2stamps's SFYTT.
Have a great day!

Birthday Bear
Here is PJ again - this time celebrating a birthday! I used a sketch from i{heart}2stamp Jen's SFYTT from this week. Check it out here! I broke into some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper. Sometimes I think I need to add more layers to my cards or something....? But if I think too long, a card will never get made :)

What's Up Hugh?
Look at this cutie Hugh! I definitely went through a phase where I loved that floppy-haired Englishman Hugh Grant!!! Anyways, I used some Basic Grey Junebug papers (that I hadn't even broken into yet) and some chipboard stickers. I had never tried those stickers before, but the pieces are huge! I think they are more for scrapbook pages or maybe for altered art. I paper pieced his shirt, bandanna, and patch on his jeans. I used a sketch from Club Anya blog. They have multiple challenges per week so you can always be creating :). Thanks for looking!

New Banner
I created a banner for my blog! I used some free digital kits from Two Peas (there are quite a few on their site, just go to Digital Kits and sort by Price). I've seen some really beautifully layered ones on people's blog. I am still learning - so I started with something simple!

Happy Blogaversary Bunny-Zoe!
Nikki at her Bunny-Zoe's Blog is celebrating her 2 year blogaversary! Go wish her well - she has a BIG celebration giveaway! Congrats Nikki!!
Thanks Berry Mouse
Here is a card I made with help from a sketch from SFYTT and also a recipe from Simon Says Challenge which had a really fun hop. I linked them up so you can play along too!
The stamp is a House Mouse stamp called Sleeping With Strawberries and the sentiment is Thanks Berry Much (which I found on Simon Says Stamp store). Flower pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket Early Bird and SU!. I used some PTI ribbon and Hero Arts button and Kaiser Craft pearls. I'm so excited to be using up my supplies... so there is room for more :) !
PJ the Bear!
I am a fan of The Cat's Pajamas stamps - great quality clear stamps. They had a contest last month to name the bear and I suggested PJ ! I was one of a number who suggested the winning name and I won this new set.
Joanne B is having a fun blogaversary challenge. Her blog Just a Little Something is sooo fun and inspiring. Her first challenge was to paper piece so I did that with PJ with some fun Basic Grey paper. I thought I'd get started on some St. Patrick's Day cards! Have a great day!
Edited: I forgot to mention this card uses Jen Del Muro's SFYTT. She's having a fun contest you should enter that too!!

Love Lace
I got this beautiful lace stamp (Hero Arts Circle Lace) for Christmas from my sister. I finally inked it up to play along with Kim Hughes challenge. I just resubscribed to Paper Crafts magazine and their blog is a lot of fun too. As much as I love blog surfing, it's nice to have a magazine to read in bed or at lunch at work :).
I was inspired by all the doily/lace images that are coming back into form. Especially by this Much Love card by Kim Kesti - love the lacy image and the scallopy borders. All stamps used on this card is by Hero Arts.

Be My Valentine
Here is Edward again ! The card uses a sketch from Farm Fresh Friday on 2/5/10 - you can find it here. I just realized I forgot to color in his shoes!! A cute boy does not wear white shoes :) yikes! I'll have to fix that. The heart on the right I blinged it up with some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. The base paper is PTI's Enchanted Evening. Hope you are having a great day!

Blooming Heart
Another terrible evening-no-natural-light photo! My apologies! Anyways, I wanted to try out some new products - Hero Arts Blooming Heart stamp and Nestabilities Label 8. Oh and of course the Hero Arts paper and chalk ink in Cerulean. Really pretty. The sentiment didn't come out well because I used Bazzill Bling paper and it is textured. I'll have to experiment more. But I do love that blue color!! I also used some HA pearls and the sentiment is from clear set Anytime Messages.
I embossed the image with some green Zing embossing powder. It is not a detailed powder so it doesn't always come out perfect, but it did come out nicely on this one. The ribbon is A Muse stitched ribbon. Have a wonderful day! Happy Valentine's Day - I'm off to VT for the long weekend to ski!

Edward from Twilight Loves You !!
This is Edward (she has a whole line of images based on Twilight characters!) from The Greeting Farm. I still haven't seen the movie yet, but I do think that actor is very handsome!!! This Edward is quite cute too :) I'm going to send this to my friend who is a big Twilight fan (I have quite a few of them!). I used some American Crafts paper that I bought last year - I think it's from the Romantic collection.
I used a sketch from Mercy's blog and am submitting this for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge 99. It's a fun one - you still have time! Thanks for visiting today!

Sweet Savannah
Here is a card (sorry for the bad picture that I took in the evening) with Savannah from The Greeting Farm. I'm building quite a collection of these stamps from TGF. I really love their images and I saw today on their blog that they have new ones coming out called Cheeky Cherry Collection. Check them out HERE they are sooo adorable!!
I found this challenge blog called BasicGrey Challenges, which is actually perfect because I use and love so much of Basic Grey papers. I played along with Week 13 challenge which is a sketch one. I used Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad and button. The swirls are from a Quickutz die - I love those die cuts! Thanks for looking!!

Happy Birthday Sis and Kimmie!
Happy Birthday Kimmie !! I hope you had a wonderful celebration! Kimmie is having a blog candy challenge for her birthday - it's a fun sketch you can find here. I made this birthday card with Posy from her line of stamps called Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This card is for my sister whose birthday is next week. Her big day is near Valentine's Day so I thought I would use some Basic Grey valentine's paper with it. I got some Prima swirl pearls while I was on vacation in SF. It's such a cool product.

Happy Birthday Damask
Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary ! Congrats PTI! I love their products - stamps, ribbons, paper, ink, and more. I love the quality and innovative designs of this company. Anyways, Nichole had a fun challenge today - emboss resist. I had to play along with my new Damask Designs set. I also used the polka dots set, but you can't really see it. I think my Versamark ink is drying out and my clear embossing powder is not the best quality. I will be sending this to my sis next week! Thanks for looking!!

Cute Posy
My Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp "Posy" is from Lindsey at Jacksonbelle Embellishments. I've bought a few times from her through the years - she is such a talented crafter and has a great store with fast service! I thought I'd play along with her challenge to use Buttons, Brads and Bows. I used 2 of the 3 :). The designer paper is Basic Grey Urban Prairie and I also used a new border punch from EK Success Embossed Curve Slim Edger border punch. Very cool one with the embossing.

Club Anya Sketch #4 - 80s Anya
Here is my card for Club Anya & Friends Sketch #4. You can find this fun blog here. They have lots of challenges and fun inspiration. The little heart punch is Martha Stewart. I added a button on top. I bought that punch last year and never used it - so I definitely will be using it for cards this year! Pattern paper is Basic Grey again. I am going to start using up my BG papers so I can buy more! They have so many new beautiful lines coming out I can't keep up :). Have a great day!
